Hello dA! I apologize for such a long absence. I honestly have not been feeling the whole "upload my artwork and then go through 10 billion Deviations and journals" thing lately
I do have various new things that I could upload, but I'm lazy.....
For those of you who care...
ConventionsFirst off, Anime Boston happened. It was mucho fun and felt like a splendid break from school for a few days or so XD My group was great! They helped me out with my table in terms of taking over when I needed a break or just hanging around with me so I wasn't too lonely
Speaking of the table in Artist Alley, I can't say I got much out of it money-wise, though I did gain the knowledge that 2 feet is not enough. Due to the small amount of space I had, a lot of people ended up passing my table. I also didn't have quite as much merch as I should've and my display was quite pathetic XD;; I broke even for my con ticket and the table space, but I think I ended up losing money in the end due to the cost of gas and parking and food..... I still had a lot of fun though and I really wanna try again next year! I learned a lot through doing it at AB and can't wait for future artist alleys
Also, I had 2 great table buddies!! Firstly, there was Tatiana from
www.etsy.com/shop/scrappedclot…. She was a kickass table-mate and her shirts were just as awesome! This is gonna sound really mean, but I cannot remember the name of my other table partner
But I do have his website! Here--->
yumecomics.com/ He was very nice and gave me various tips on artist alley and he also let me use some of his table space when he wasn't around. He also helped me network with a guy who was in the medical illustration business
Who knew another medical illustrator would be at an anime convention? Haha.
I guess that's really it. Despite me having fun, I don't have a huge list of what I did XD I mostly just hung out with my friends. We attended the Video Game Orchestra for a bit, but we decided to go grab dinner since we hadn't eaten in a while. Also, I was not intense enough to check out Nobuo's events ;_; We didn't get to the con early enough for the signing (plus I had forgotten my FF7 soundtrack >.<) and I wasn't
extremely interested in his Q&A... Still, a good time was had and I can't wait to go next year!
OK, after that HUGE RANT on AB, I must torture y'all with a much smaller rant on Tora Con XD
Tora Con was MUCH more successful in terms of sales, which is fantastic XD Yay money, haha. And I cosplayed as Ryuugu Rena from Higurashi, which was definitely the most exciting thing about the con for me
I don't have any of my own pictures though T_T This makes me very sad because it's my best costume to date for sure and I'm very proud of it. There may be some photos floating around the internet within the next few days, so I will go hunting and hopefully I'll find a good one.
Me and a friend of mine (
degrees-k) will be doing a photo shoot in a few weeks or so, so look out for some awesome pics around then! She's a great photographer and I'm so glad she's gonna be taking my picture ^_^
LifeSchool school and more school. And I honestly couldn't give a shit any less than I do right now
I'm really behind on my work and the worst part about it is that I don't even care...... I think I'm just getting the summer bug and really want/need a break D: It doesn't help that I have lots of exciting things to look forward to as well as stuff that I'd rather be doing (like writing ridiculously long dA journals). It's almost over though... I'm almost free!!
On a more personal note, I've been feeling a bit down lately. I'm not gonna get into it, but I want this crappy attitude to go away....
And now I will close this entry because it's way too damn long
Sorry for boring you guys to tears. I swear, my next update will be less boring and probably some work for once XD
